Shri. Kota Venkata Satyanrayana of Suryanarayana Puram village has been a poultry farmer for the last 20 years.

He observed that normally the mortality rate per batch was around 120-150 chicks per a batch of 2000 chickens. It took approximately 50-60 days for a batch to mature and be ready for sale. He was spending considerable amount for medication for water borne diseases, which primarily affected the baby chicks.

The local veterinarian suggested to Mr. Satyanrayana that he might improve the chickens’ health by providing them clean water from the WaterHealth Centre,.

He observed that the mortality rate of the chickens was reduced considerably to 25-50 per batch. Also, the growth rate per bird increased, they matured and were ready for sale within 45 days. His birds no longer require medication.

“The birds were looking like polio patients earlier. But now they are growing healthy and beautiful and fetching good price for me. I am happy” - Shri. Kota Venkata Satyanrayana
