Akividu has embraced the use of clean, potable water from WaterHealth and the opportunity it brings.

• Community leaders distribute free water to all village schools. More than 3,000 children get two liters of clean water daily.
• Health information campaigns exposed residents to all the beneficial uses of clean water. In addition to using WaterHealth’s water for drinking, it is now being used for cooking and cleaning. Some residents even use treated water for bathing children.
• Clean water distribution and transportation have created jobs and spurred local business.
• Monthly "Health Camps" have been used to inform villages about the benefits of clean water.
