WATERHEALTH liberia

Liberia officially called as the Republic of Liberia, is a country on the West African coast. Liberia means "Land of the Free" in Latin. Liberia had suffered from 14 years of civil war, is one of the most deprived countries in the world. However, unlike other African countries, Liberia is the only African republic to have self-proclaimed independence without gaining independence through revolt from any other nation, being Africa's first and oldest republic.

Reports suggested that about 70% of Liberians does not have access to safe drinking water.

WaterHealth provides an affordable alternative solution to the existing sources of purified drinking water which are highly priced and unaffordable to majority of Liberians. Therefore, the Company has set up 6 WHCs across 5 counties namely Montserrado, Bomi, Grand Bassa, Margibi and Bong.

During the Ebola outbreak in the country, WaterHealth continued to operate all its WHCs providing safe water to community people as well as to institutions like the Ebola Treatment Units (ETU).
