Dr. Tralance Addy
President & CEO
WaterHealth International A recognized entrepreneurial leader and inventor with over 25 years of corporate management experience, Dr. Addy's career has been distinguished by leadership of the creation and commercial development of break-through technologies and ventures. Prior to joining WaterHealth he was an International Vice President of health-care leader Johnson & Johnson (J&J). During his over 20-year tenure at J&J, he held a number of senior executive positions including Director of Technology Ventures for a subsidiary, Vice President of R&D, and Worldwide President of Advanced Sterilization Products (ASP), a J&J subsidiary that he founded within the corporation. He led the growth of that company to be a worldwide market- segment leader, establishing divisions of the company and marketing channels in over 40 countries. He was a member of the Global Management Committee of Johnson & Johnson Medical, Inc. He is a recipient of several corporate awards for innovation and entrepreneurship. He is the holder of 13 U.S. and international patents.
Tralance Addy earned BA and BS degrees in chemistry and mechanical engineering simultaneously from Swarthmore College, Pennsylvania in 1969, and subsequently earned MS and PhD degrees in engineering from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. He also is a graduate of the Harvard Business School's Advanced Management Program. He is a Fellow of the American Institute of Medical and Biological Engineering and, among a number of professional leadership positions, is a member of the Advisory Board of the Center for Sustainable Enterprise of the University of North Carolina's Kenan-Flagler Business School. He also serves as a member of the Board of Managers of Swarthmore College.

Dr. Ashok Gadgil
Senior Scientific Advisor
Dr. Gadgil is a physicist and world-renowned
environmental scientist at the Lawrence Berkeley
National Laboratories (LBNL), whose work focuses on
critical global problems. He is the inventor of WaterHealth International's UV Waterworks
technology. He has won numerous awards for this
invention, including the Discover Magazine Award for
the most significant environmental invention of
1995, and Popular Science Magazine Award for "Best
of What's New" in 1996. He most recently received
the prestigious Tech Laureate Award in Health from
the Tech Museum of Innovation in 2004.
At LBNL, Dr. Gadgil is Senior Staff Scientist in the Environmental Energy Technologies Division, where he heads a group of researchers engaged in studies on indoor pollution. He has authored or co-authored 68 papers in scientific journals and 99 conference papers. Dr. Gadgil obtained a BS in physics from the University of Bombay, India, an MS in physics from IIT-Kanpur, India, and his PhD in Physics from UC-Berkeley.

David Katz
CFO and Vice President Finance and Administration
David Katz comes to WaterHealth with a strong background in financial analysis and management. Prior to joining WaterHealth, Mr. Katz was a senior analyst at Ivory Capital, a $2 billion hedge fund. Prior to Ivory Capital, Mr. Katz was Vice President Mergers and Acquisitions in the Technology Group at Montgomery and Co. and an investment banker with Morgan Stanley. Previously, he was a Senior Associate Consultant for Bain & Company before being appointed Director of Financial Planning and Analysis with Jostens Learning Corporation, a Bain Capital portfolio company focused on educational software development.
Mr. Katz graduated magna cum laude with a BA in economics and mathematics from Dartmouth College, with Phi Beta Kappa honors. He later received an MBA from the Anderson School of Business as a Carter Fellow. He serves on the Board of the Venice, California Boys and Girls Club.

Derek T. Newsom
Vice President of Marketing and Sales
Derek Newsom is a versatile leader with more than 15 years of international business experience in IT hardware, Consumer Electronics, and Medical products. His skills encompass strategy, sales and marketing, product development and engineering, operations, manufacturing and distribution both in developed and emerging markets.
Mr. Newsom comes to WaterHealth from GE Healthcare, a $17B division of General Electric, where he was Chief Marketing Officer for Diagnostic Imaging Performance Technologies – Primary Care. Prior to GE, he served as President and CEO of Medion USA, Inc, the North America subsidiary of a large $3B multi-national German corporation, where he grew revenues to over $50 million within two years of its inception in 2001. He was awarded the United States GCOC Merlin Award for this accelerated growth and management creativity. Newsom also held several strategic management positions at Hewlett Packard where he helped lead the HP Pavilion PC business into the top US market share position. In addition, he launched HP's first home PCs into Japan, Germany, and other countries around the world and has one technology patent under the company.
Mr. Newsom earned his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from University of the Pacific in California. He holds both an MBA and a Master’s of Engineering degree from California Polytechnic University.

Sudesh Menon
CEO, WaterHealth India
Sudesh Menon joined WaterHealth directly from General Electric Infrastructure where most recently he was Country Head in Malaysia. In 2004, he was recognized by GE with the Asia Peak Achiever Award for his accomplishments. Prior to his assignment in Malaysia, Mr. Menon held various positions at GE, including Regional Manager in India and Sales Manager for Southeast Asia. He also was part of the startup team that established GE-Fanuc in India. He is a certified Six Sigma Green Belt. Before joining GE, he held the position of Systems Engineer at Larsen and Toubro, the largest and most highly regarded engineering firm in India.
Mr. Menon is a graduate of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kharagpur, India, and holds a Diploma in Business Administration from Business School in Chennai.

Donaldo I. Palomar
General Manager, WaterHealth Philippines
Donaldo I. Palomar joins WaterHealth with extensive experience in the water industry. Most recently, Mr. Palomar served as Chief Operating Officer for Des Eaux Utilities, Inc., a division of TGV Builders in the Philippines. Prior to that position, he was Chief Operations Officer of Bonifacio Vivendi Water Corporation. He was also President and General Manager of Bonifacio Water Corporation – a company that he helped build from the ground up. As a former project manager for Local Water Utilities Administration of the Philippines, Mr. Palomar has worked with major foreign lending institutions such as the World Bank and Japan Bank for International Cooperation.
Mr. Palomar received extensive training in water technology in both France and the UK after earning two degrees from Mapua Institute of Technology in Manila – a Bachelor’s in civil engineering and another Bachelor’s in environmental and sanitary engineering. Mr. Palomar also earned an MBA from the International Academy of Management and Economics in Makati City, Philippines. A registered engineer, Mr. Palomar is a member of multiple professional organizations, including the Philippines Waterworks Association.
